With nearly 40 years of gardening experience, I specialise in creating beautiful, functional, and naturalistic gardens. My regular garden maintenance work provides me with insights into what thrives and how local conditions affect plant choices, enabling me to design resilient, wildlife-friendly spaces that are well-suited to their environment.

I specialise in organic, naturalistic gardens that blend cottage-garden charm with modern design, using resilient planting, native species, and eco-conscious techniques to support wildlife and ensure year-round interest.

I hold a Garden Design Diploma (Distinction) from the Garden Design School (University of Bristol Botanical Gardens) and bring a scientific approach from my background in microbiology, public health, and project management (PRINCE2). This blend of creativity and methodical thinking enables me to create sustainably minded gardens. I am a Pre-Registered Member of the Society of Garden and Landscape Designers (SGLD) and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Horticulture (ACIHort).

I am involved in local garden design and gardening communities, serving as SGLD Cluster Lead for Bristol and Bath group and on the committees of the BS3 Wildlife Group and South Bristol Gardening Club. I’ve also volunteered at RHS Chelsea, RHS Hampton Court, RHS Malvern, and BBC Gardeners’ World Live flower shows.

With my expertise and eco-conscious approach, I aim to create beautiful gardens that support local wildlife and increase biodiversity. If you're ready to transform your garden, get in touch to unlock its full potential.

My Approach

Supporting local wildlife is at the forefront of my garden design and maintenance processes. Getting to know and understand my clients’ gardens is essential. Each design and maintenance project is unique and tailor-made to improve the ‘health’ of each space.

I love creating flourishing, beautiful and naturalistic gardens that thoughtfully balance hard landscaping and planting, creating cohesive and functional spaces that are a haven of natural beauty.

Collaboration is Key

Collaboration and communication are at the core of my work. I have developed excellent relationships with horticultural nurseries, landscape contractors and suppliers to ensure attention to detail at every stage, allowing your garden to be delivered and maintained to the highest possible standard.
